McGladrey Congratulates ECRI Institute for Outstanding Business Achievements, Receipt of Microsoft Dynamics®’ Excellence in Innovation Award

Plymouth Meeting, PA — (March 28, 2011) — RSM McGladrey, a leading provider of tax and consulting services under the McGladrey brand, and a leading Microsoft Dynamics® business partner, is pleased to announce that ECRI Institute was recognized by Microsoft® with a 2011 Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Award for excellence in innovation and will be honored by Microsoft executives at an awards luncheon on Monday, April 11, at Convergence 2011 Atlanta, the premier Microsoft Dynamics user conference.

The Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards, which are presented in 19 categories, recognize and celebrate Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using RSM McGladrey’s Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

ECRI Institute was recognized for its strong commitment to innovation. Working with Microsoft Dynamics certified partner RSM McGladrey of 224 Strawbridge Drive, Suite 110, Moorestown, NJ, ECRI Institute chose Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM because it had the capability to centralize their data and automate their manual business processes. Another consideration in their decision making was to make the Microsoft platform consistent across all of their business systems to align with the not-for-profit organization’s overall business strategy. After implementing this solution, ECRI Institute has achieved the following results:

  • Recouped $5,625,000 in missed monthly revenue by not restricting access on lapsed subscriptions
  • Annual savings of $49,615.38 or 2,064 hours from automating processes to restricting access to users without current subscription; ECRI has been able to reassign two full-time equivalent (FTE) web support staff to other jobs
  • Saved $150,000 in annual salaries to three FTE circulation administrators.
  • Improved customer services by reducing response time for inquiries from 2-8 hours to real-time using Dynamics CRM
  • Saved $55,000 in annual maintenance fees by creating one centralized system from three non-integrated systems and eight contact databases

Established in 1997, the Customer Excellence Awards are awarded each year at the Convergence user conference in the United States. Microsoft Dynamics customers, partners and team members submit nominations. Judging teams for each of the categories rate nominees on category specific criteria. Proposed winners for each category are then presented and reviewed by a panel of Microsoft executive judges for final approval. As part of that final review, winning customers, including the Overall Excellence Award winning customers, are chosen.
